St scrum-half: Tobias Botes

Tobias Botes will start at scrum-half for Italy against France on Sunday while Luke Mclean has been brought in on the left wing.

Head coach Jacques Brunel has made three changes to the starting XV that narrowly lost to Australia in November.

McLean starts out wide in the place of the injured Mirco Bergamasco. Botes is given the nod ahead of Edoardo Gori, who must settle for a place on the bench.

In the back row, Simone Favaro starts on the flank in the place of Robert Barbieri while Alessandro Zanni plays his 45th consecutive Test.

The tight five is unchanged.

Prop Alberto De Marchi, flank Paul Derbyshire and backs Kristopher Burton and Gonzalo Canale come onto the bench.
