@ Frank81 & Centre12 - I think we're all Bath fans (where are the Quins & others..?), so it's an interesting point you make, Centre12. I have been wondering when Geech was going to do magnificent things and he seems to be taking his time over it. Am I being over-critical?

@ Centre12 - I hope that is t case, but I have a nagging feeling the RFU will go for a "marquee" name which will work out as well as it has in football for England. Hopefully they'll see sense and reward SL

@Frank81, if SL gets the green light and continues doing well i'd reward him with another 4 year contract after the 2015 WC.

A good appointment. He did rather well with Quins when he took them over after they'd been relegated as I recall. I think he'll be in the mix for a post-2015 position.

He's got to start somewhere and the Falcons could do with a man of his experience to take them forward. In a few years' time, he might even be jockeying for a berth in the England set up...
