Tom Williams: New Quins deal

Tom Williams has signed a two-year contract extension with Harlequins that will keep him with the current Aviva Premiership champions until the end of the 2014-15 season.

Not only is Williams one of the most experienced players in the Harlequins squad, the winger is also among its most prolific try-scorers having touched down 52 times since making his senior debut in 2004.

Williams was one of the first graduates of the club's Academy and went on to play for the England Sevens team in the 2004 IRB World Sevens Series where he contributed to an England victory in the famous Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

He was a key member of the team that won the Aviva Premiership final in May 2012.

"Tom's form over the last 12 months has been outstanding and we are all really looking forward to him continuing that over the coming years," said Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea.

"Tom has already played 185 times for the club and at 29 has some great years of rugby ahead of him. He is one of the club's original Academy graduates and his willingness to work with our younger players has had a big impact on their development."
