Staying with Quins: Ross Chisholm

Harlequins full-back Ross Chisholm has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the Premiership champions.

The 21-year-old, who has made 24 appearances for the club, will remain at the Stoop until the end of the 2014-15 season .

He scored five tries in last season's successful Premiership campaign where his exceptional pace caused recurring problems for opposing defences.

"Ross is another prodigious talent who is always looking to improve and become a better player," said aid Harlequins' Director of Rugby Conor O'Shea.

"He does what we all like to see in a full-back which is that first and foremost he does his basics well. Once you have that you have a chance as a full-back, but when you run lines and have the pace that Ross has, then you can compete anywhere across the back three.

"Whether it be Ross putting pressure on Mike Brown and the senior wingers at the club or Luke Wallace doing so to our experienced back rowers, our recent re-signings can only be good news for the short and long term future of the team."

Chisholm added: "I've benefited from my time in the Harlequins academy, in particular the hours spent working on basic skills and tactical awareness with coaches and mentors, all of which has helped me develop my game. We're a relatively young squad with great confidence and belief in each other. It is going to be another exciting year for the club and I am delighted to have re-signed."
