Carlin Isles at 2013 World Club 7s

Will be there: Carlin Isles

The World Club 7s title will be played out at Twickenham this weekend as twelve teams from around the world battle it out on Saturday and Sunday.

In its second year, the competition will have a new winner as the Brumbies are not involved, with Australia's representative being the Waratahs.

The Blues arrive from New Zealand while South Africa has two teams, with Western Province and the Blue Bulls running out at England's HQ.

Likewise the host nation has a couple of sides involved as Harlequins - facing RC Enisei, New York and WP in their pool - and the impressive Gloucester, who won at the Stoop last week, join Cardiff Blues, Buenos Aires, Kuban Krasnodar and Seattle for what should be entertaining action.

2013's beaten finalists the Blues will be looking to go one better this time around, with head coach Waisake Sotutu delighted to be back in London.

"It is one of the biggest tournaments that we go to," he told worldclub7srugby.com.

"This is a tournament that we targeted so we have put a bit of preparation into it over the last couple of months.

"We hope that if we can play to the best of our ability, then we can be there on the final day.

"We got to the final last year and came up against the Brumbies, who were a very strong team and the teams that have come back this year have obviously targeted this tournament as well."

Auckland will face another Australian side this time around as the Waratahs join Kuban Krasnodar and Seattle in completing Pool C, with the latter having Carlin Isles in their ranks.

"[The Waratahs] are coming with a bit of confidence and I am sure they would like to add this to their trophy cabinet," said Sotutu.

"We have got the Russians first up and then we have got Seattle so the Waratahs will be the last game of the day.

"We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves but at the back of our mind we know they are waiting for us at the end of the day.

"We need to be on our game when we get to them."

He added: "I think Serevi's team from Seattle are going to be quite strong and New York as well, who have got Carlin Isles out on the wing there.

"Give him the ball and you will have three or four guys trying to catch him. Then you have got Buenos Aires and the Russians as well.

"I think it will definitely be a step up compared to last year."
