Gloucester winger Charlie Sharples has been called up to the England Saxons squad for Saturday's fixture with the Irish Wolfhounds.
Sharples comes into the squad as an injury replacement for London Wasps wing Tom Varndell.
Sharples, capped four times at senior level, was an omission from the original squad, but has responded superbly running in tries in the past two fixtures for the Cherry and Whites against Munster and Perpignan.
The 24-year-old, who recently signed a new contract with Gloucester, will join up with club mates Freddie Burns and Elliott Stooke as the Saxons prepare for the game at their training base at Loughborough University.
Meanwhile, Gloucester Rugby team mate, Dan Robson, is also training with the Saxons squad as injury cover.
Joe Lydon told PA today that he's confident that Sharples will come in and do a fine job.
"We know Charlie well, we know what he can do. He'll do a great job for us, he's a quality finisher, he's on form and he comes in with the history and experience, but also in current form and playing at home," said Lydon.
"I think he knows what he needs to do [to get back into the EPS]. We can give him the opportunity, but he knows the rest of what he has to do.
"Stuart has proved that if people are playing well they have a chance. Charlie's been great with us, he understands the situation perfectly."
