Zebre-Connacht called off

Date published: September 17 2016

Zebre were denied a PRO12 victory over reigning champions Connacht on Saturday as the game was called off at half-time due to bad weather.

The Italians were leading 22-10 at the break thanks to tries from centre Tommaso Boni, blindside Maxime Mbandà and openside Jacopo Sarto.

Full-back Tiernan O’Halloran went over for Connacht but the weather at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi then worsened and the players did not return.

The game will be re-arranged for a later date.
