Saracens full-back Chris Wyles believes his side have to be happy to get away from their Sale fixture with a losing bonus-point on Saturday.
The 14-10 defeat at Salford City Stadium saw Saracens well beaten by the Sharks, who Wyles concedes were better in their Premiership meeting.
"Considering how poor we were in some parts of the game, it's pretty pleasing to have come away with a bonus point. Overall we're all disappointed really and in some facets of the game we were pretty poor," he told Saracens' official website.
"I think credit must go to Sale as well. They were pretty physical and they did well to rattle us at our set piece and in the contact area. It just meant we never got on the front foot and we are usually pretty good at doing that to other teams, so hats off to them as they did that to us."
Wyles, who was a late call-up to the side in place of the injured Charlie Hodgson, added: "It can be difficult at times, but ultimately I have done it on a few occasions before, so it wasn’t an issue for me. The result and the performance were the most disappointing things – it was just one of those days."
