Warriors have announced that Academy Forwards Development Coach Ceri Jones will be leaving Sixways to rejoin his hometown side Newport Gwent Dragons as Forwards Coach at the end of the season.

Jones, who joined Warriors as a player in 2011, was added to the coaching set-up in 2013 and has helped nurture Warriors' promising young forwards over the past couple of seasons.

And now the former Wales international is set to move back to Newport to coach his old club in the PRO12.

Jones said: "I've really enjoyed my time here at Sixways where I've made some great friends and unforgettable experiences.

"I'd like to thank everyone for their support over the past five years and wish the club the best of luck in the years to come.

"The Warriors Academy has a really bright future and there are some exciting prospects coming through the ranks."

Director of Rugby Dean Ryan said: "I'd like to thank Ceri for his contribution in helping grow some of our younger players.

"He has played an important part of what we are trying to build at Worcester and we are very grateful for the support he has given us during his time at the club."
