‘Winning margin should have been bigger’ – Gold

Sharks boss Gary Gold admitted that their 19-14 loss to the Crusaders was not a true reflection of the New Zealanders' domination in Durban on Saturday.

The 2014 South African conference winners drew against the Bulls at Loftus in Round Four after bagging wins over the Kings, Jaguares and Stormers in earlier rounds.

Despite their dominance, the visitors were made to work hard for their much needed away victory.

A 71st minute try from captain Kieran Read helped the seven time champions secure a win, after trailing 14-12 with ten minutes to go.

"You simply can’t play without the ball and we would really not have deserved to win this game," Gold told reporters.

"Today we did not earn the right to play and to launch attacks."
