Cardiff Blues head coach Danny Wilson has praised the performance of Gareth Anscombe after he starred in their PRO12 win against the Dragons.
The Wales international, who has been in solid form of late, scored thirteen points on Sunday and was intelligent in possession throughout.
His performance helped the Blues claim their fourth successive win in the PRO12 as they continue their late-season climb up the standings.
"He's a great professional. He has a great understanding of the game and mixes his ability to put the ball through his hands, play with shape and the kicking game with his ability to beat people one on one," Wilson said of his fly-half when speaking to the Blues' website.
"He makes sure defences stay honest and if they don't he will find gaps and score or make breaks which he did a couple of times today."
Cardiff Blues are now one point off sixth place, with Ospreys, Munster and Edinburgh also battling hard for that Champions Cup position.
The team face the Ospreys on Saturday at the Principality Stadium before taking on Edinburgh at Murrayfield in what are crucial fixtures.
