Tighthead prop David Wilson will continue to ply his trade at Premiership club Bath, after signing a contract extension this week.

Wilson, who has been at Bath for half a decade, has been a central figure in this squad over the years and the expectation is that he will continue to contribute to its on-field success for the foreseeable future.

Wilson is excited by the additional opportunity which has presented itself.

"Bath is a great place to be right now, and I have a strong bond with the club," said Wilson.

"There is a fantastic drive amongst the squad and coaches to succeed, and it's exciting to be part of that. As a team we work hard to keep getting better, and I'm really looking forward to the coming seasons."

Also delighted by the prospect of working with Wilson for a few more seasons was first team coach Neal Hatley, who values his prop's scrummaging ability, combined with his ball skills while in the loose.

"Davey is the ultimate professional, and we're really pleased that he's staying at Bath. He's an important member of the squad for us, not just for his scrummaging ability, but also the impacts he makes around the field and also his experience in the tight," said Hatley.
