Wales centre Scott Williams is eager to change the script when it comes to his country's fortunes against Australia this weekend.

The Wallabies have won the last eight clashes between the two teams and clinched victory in dramatic fashion this time last year thanks to Kurtley Beale's late try.

Losing to Australia has become a familiar story and Williams is eager to change the script on Saturday in Cardiff.

“We seem to be saying the same thing every year,” Williams told the Western Telegraph.

“We have come close on so many occasions against Australia and we all know what happened last year.

“They are still a world-class team with world-class players so it is going to be a challenge again.”

Williams also reserved praise for British and Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies, who is out of the Test due to an injury sustained against South Africa.

What Jonathan has achieved in a short space of time is outstanding,” added Williams.

“Anything can happen and he has taken all the opportunities he has been given.

“He has massively influenced me and for him to come back from the Lions tour, I was happy to play alongside him and his experience rubbed off on me.”
