Scarlets full-back Liam Williams won't face Zebre in the PRO12 this week due to an ankle injury as speculation mounts over his future.
The 25-year-old, who was recently reported to have inked a contract with English champions Saracens, is still to have his future made public.
He played for Wales during the November Tests but after suffering an injury against Australia, it has emerged that he will miss Saturday's game.
Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac confirmed that news but when pushed on his player's future at the region, he said there was "no change".
"As soon as that decision is made 100 percent we won't be holding it back," he told BBC Sport ahead of the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi clash.
"Liam is getting a rest this week, but in terms of contracting, no change.
"I'm just concerned about what Sanjay [Williams} tells me, and so I'm comfortable where things are at."
Quizzed on how they would cope without Williams should he leave, Pivac added: "I haven't thought down that line but we do have Johnny McNicholl here."
