Toulon have been bolstered by the news that World Cup-winners Jonny Wilkinson and Bryan Habana will be fit to face Munster in Sunday's Heineken Cup semi-final.
Fred Michalak played in the Toulon number 10 jersey in last weekend's Top 14 win over Perpignan and the previous week's victory at Bordeaux-Begles after Wilkinson limped out of the quarter-final win over Leinster with a hamstring injury three weeks ago.
Head coach Bernard Laporte has confirmed however that the fly-half was back in training and is confident he will be fit to start come Sunday.
“Wilkinson is ready,” said Laporte.
“He trained yesterday for I don't know how many hours, but a fair few. So it seems that all is well.”
Former IRB Player of the Year Habana was sidelined for four months with a hamstring injury before making a shortlived comeback against Bordeaux but tendonitis forced him out of the clash with Perpignan.
Things have progressed once again this week, though, and Habana insists he can't wait to play his part at the Stade Veledrome in Marseille.
“Playing a part in a Heineken Cup semi-final would be pretty special,” said Habana .
“Playing against a team that I have not played against before in my career, it would definitely rank up there in some of the moments I'm definitely going to savour when I look back on my career.”
