Jonny Wilkinson is set to help England as a kicking consultant ahead of the World Cup, according to French media reports.
The La Provence newspaper reports Wilkinson, who has been working as a kicking coach with his former club Toulon on a part time basis since he retired at the end of the 2013/14 season, will do a similar job for England.
At the time of his retirement, Wikinson hinted that he might take up such a position to help England prepare for the World Cup on home soil which starts in September.
“I have spoken to the guys a bit, just because they were saying feel free to come along and have a little chat and see what you think and if there's anything you can add,” he said at the time.
“I have got plenty of time – and I need plenty of time – to understand where I go next.
“I'd love to go down there and see what they're doing because whatever they are doing is very, very good.
“I may pop down there and spend a little time at Pennyhill on the sidelines and watch the guys doing what they are doing and enjoy that.”
