Edinburgh will be without Scotland fly-half Duncan Weir for several weeks after he suffered a fracture to his jaw that required surgery.

The club's medical team issued an update after their match away to Munster on Saturday which confirmed he had surgery on Sunday.

"Edinburgh Rugby would like to extend its thanks to the staff of St John’s Hospital for their assistance in the care of Weir," it read.

In other news, tighthead prop Kevin Bryce sustained an injury to his left elbow and awaits a scan to determine the full extent of that while back-row Nasi Manu and fly-half Jason Tovey have recovered from their respective rib and wrist injuries and returned to training.
