Bath head coach Mike Ford thinks his side "let down the fans" after they lost 36-10 to Wasps in their Champions Cup clash at the Recreation Ground.
Saturday's loss came on the back of an away win over the Coventry team, but in Round 4 it was Wasps picking up pool points on their travels.
When they return to European action, Bath will face Toulon away, Leinster away and Toulon at home, with Ford knowing they need to improve.
"They (Wasps) have been a good defensive side for some time but we feel we have let down the fans and we are really disappointed," he told EPCR's website.
"We will have a good look at ourselves – both as management and players – because we have let each other down.
"But we have faith in this group of players and, while this is an ugly period for us at the moment, when we get out of it we will be a better team."
Ford did find time to praise Wasps, who were dominant throughout at the Rec as victory takes them clear at the top of the pool.
"They played very well and things unravelled for us after they got their first try," he added.
"I was a bit disappointed from there on in. We gave away too many penalties and our scrum wasn't good enough in the first half.
"We were on the back foot and although our scrum got better in the second half we were always chasing the game.
"Jimmy Gopperth managed the game really well – he kept kicking into the corners and kept us pegged back."
