Leinster head coach Leo Cullen praised Connacht after they won the PRO12 title, saying his side didn't perform at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Connacht won 20-10 in Scotland as they scored three tries to Leinster's one, with Cullen admitting defeat as the trophy headed to Galway.
"I'm pretty gutted. I've got a huge amount of respect for Connacht and what they've achieved. It's been a pretty remarkable season for them and an incredible story," he said.
"But we didn't perform to the levels that we're capable of.
"We misfired a little around the set-piece and our ball control, particularly in the first half was poor too. We just coughed the ball up unbelievably cheaply."
He added: "On the flip side, Connacht were incredibly clinical in taking the opportunities they had.
"We have no complaints. We were not good enough today, which is probably the most disappointing thing."
