Richard Cockerill, director of rugby at Leicester Tigers, said they could not cope with Glasgow’s fast movement of the ball.

Leicester Tigers took a thorough beating against Glasgow on Friday after going down 42-13 at Scotstoun Stadium.

“The first 15 minutes were all right and then we went downhill rapidly,” Cockerill┬ásaid.

“We started well against a stiff breeze, controlled the game well, our tactics were good, even with Matt Toomua in the bin. Then we made silly errors and invited Glasgow into the game, they are very good on the front foot and they played very well and they punished us.

“We couldn’t cope when they had quick ball and quick recycle.”
