Ireland number eight Jamie Heaslip believes the Springboks are still a force to be reckoned with despite his team's 26-20 win in Cape Town.
Heaslip says they are not going to underestimate the Boks when the two teams face off once again, this time at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.
"If you look back in history you will find how hard it is to win in South Africa," Heaslip said.
"We are all too aware of how difficult it will be.
"We are not getting too carried away with ourselves."
The Leinster man believes the Boks are an incredibly physical and tactically proficient outfit and his men have challenges on their plate.
"Just tackling their second-row forwards and back-row forwards, they are big men, they can move, they are skillful," he added.
"They know what they are about and they know how to play the game – it is pretty intimidating."
The big number eight said the Springboks still commanded a lot of respect.
"They are a scary challenge, no matter where you play them – home or away," Heaslip said.
"It is a daunting task and we are all too aware of that."
