The Dragons have announced that they have secured the signings of Wasps scrum-half Charlie Davies and back-row Ed Jackson ahead of 2015/16.

Davies and Jackson have both inked long term contracts at Rodney Parade.

Scrum-half Davies began his professional career with Nottingham for two seasons, whilst studying at Nottingham Trent University. He then moved to Stade Francais, whilst also being called up to the England U20s squad in the Junior World Championship before signing for Premiership side Wasps.

In addition to Davies the Dragons have also secured back-row Jackson. The 24-year-old worked with director of rugby, Lyn Jones during their time together at London Welsh. After 2012/13, Jackson made the move to Wasps, and went on to make 10 appearances for them during the 2013/14 Premiership season.

"I'm delighted both have committed to us, they will be good signings which will increase the ability of our squad in World Cup year," Jones told the Dragons.

"Kingsley (Jones) and I have worked closely with Ed Jackson and we know how good he can be.

"As for Charlie he has always played to a high standard for Wasps since his return from Stade Francais. His roots are in Porthcawl and he will prove to be an exciting signing as he joins forces with Sarel Pretorius and Luc Jones for the number 9 shirt next season."
