Wasps trio Rob Miller, Josh Bassett and Brendan Macken have joined James Haskell and Nathan Hughes in agreeing fresh terms with the club.

England Saxons' full-back Miller, who recently made his 100th Premiership appearance, against former club Sale, has represented England at U16, U18, U20 and Saxons levels. The 26-year-old has made 35 appearances and scored seven tries for Wasps since joining ahead of 2014/15.

Speaking about the contract extension, Miller said: "I'm really happy to have re-signed at Wasps. I've had a great time here so far and we have an awesome group of lads. The club is moving in the right direction and this has been reflected by the attendances at the games at our new home at the Ricoh Arena.

"As a squad, we are working hard to become a top team and with the strength in depth we have across the squad, we know we have the potential to achieve this. There are some exciting times ahead for us as a team and I'm looking forward to being a part of it."

England U20s wing Bassett has scored 27 points in his 21 appearances for Wasps' first team, since arriving from Bedford Blues in 2013/14. The 23-year-old has also recently been a standout performer for Wasps' A side, forcing his way back in contention for a first team start.

Bassett said: "I'm really pleased to have signed a new deal and extend my time at Wasps. It's a very exciting time to be a part of the club with the move to Coventry and the talented players who have been introduced to the squad over the past couple of seasons and I'm really looking forward to playing my part.

"Since moving to the club from Bedford in 2013 it's been a brilliant learning experience and, as a relatively young guy in a group of experienced wingers, I've really enjoyed learning from the other guys in this group and I'm now looking to kick on."

Macken has also impressed since signing from Leinster ahead of the 2015/16 season. The Emerging Ireland centre showed his skills early on, on debut for Wasps in the Singha 7s and during Wasps' early games this season. The 24-year-old has also been in good form for Wasps in the recent A league fixtures, scoring three tries in their last three games.

"It was a no-brainer signing a new contract as I have loved my time here at Wasps so far," said Macken.

"The players and coaching staff have been great and it's such an exciting place to be at the moment, so I'm really looking forward to being part of everything going forwards. Playing at the Ricoh Arena, with all the facilities there, is amazing and I'm looking forward to moving up to the West Midlands over the summer.

"There's a huge amount of talent in the squad and competition for places is really driving the players on in training.  Like everyone, I'm working hard to improve my all-round game and am focussing on doing the simple things well. When given the opportunity, I will just try to take it with both hands."
