Australia have the best back row in the world according to former skipper John Eales ahead of the World Cup final.
The trio of Scott Fardy, Michael Hooper, and in particular, David Pocock, were in stunning form as Australia beat Argentina 29-15 in the semi-final on Sunday.
That sets up a tantalising final against New Zealand, who boast a top class back row of their own in Jerome Kaino, Richie McCaw and Kieran Read.
However Eales, who won two World Cups with the Wallabies, believes his countrymen will have the edge next Saturday at Twickenham.
"At the start of the tournament, one of the questions we asked was that if Australia are to advance here, we have to be the best in the world at something," Eales told Fox Sports.
"We are the best in the world at the breakdown, pilfering the ball but also the pressure the guys are putting on.
"The line speed is really good. Michael Cheika has done a wonderful job developing this team.
"When we've got this team with this combination on, I think we are (the best in the world) and we've proven that in a number of games."
