Cardiff Blues prop Dillon Lewis wants to take his good form and winning attitude into the U20 World Championship which gets underway in Manchester on June 7.

The 20-year-old has had a remarkable season thus far having already won the Grand Slam and Six Nations with Wales earlier in the year, however he does not want the glory to stop there.

Lewis told the official Wales Rugby Union website that he has achieved many goals this season including playing first team provincial rugby and he would like to finish his breakthrough year in style with some good performances in England.

“I was playing Premiership rugby at the start of the season and then to get called up to the Blues first team and play regional rugby was amazing,” said Lewis.

"I didn't expect it. And then we won the Six Nations which was great, so it will be a great end to the season if we can do well in the Junior World Championships," he added.

Lewis turned his attention towards the team and added that they will go into the tournament full of confidence on the back of their achievements this season.

“I'd like to think we can go all the way but we have to concentrate on the group – Ireland, Georgia, New Zealand – and take each game as it comes," he added.

“Winning the Six Nations builds a lot of confidence into this tournament. We have had a good couple of weeks training as a team and got a lot out of that."

Wales get their campaign started against Ireland at Manchester City FC's Academy Stadium on Tuesday.
