Wales and Racing Metro centre Jamie Roberts is expected to miss the November internationals due to an ankle injury.
Racing Metro co-coach Laurent Labit has confirmed that the British and Irish Lions centre will be sidelined for up to two months after returning to Cardiff to undergo surgery.
The injury means Roberts is almsot certain to miss the Tests against South Africa (Nov 9), Argentina (Nov 16) and Tonga (Nov 22). The final game of the series – against Australia on November 30 – falls outside the official IRB Test window, meaning Racing do not have to release him.
“Jamie has reported back to us after 10 days in Cardiff for the operation,” said Labit.
“He will be out for at least two months after surgery and will hopefully be back playing some time in November, but he will probably miss the Wales Tests.”
