Wales fly-half Matthew Morgan will be out for three months after fracturing his ankle with Bristol against Moseley on Sunday.

Wales fly-half Matthew Morgan will be out for three months after fracturing his ankle with Bristol against Moseley on Sunday.

The former Ospreys pivot has been in fine form for the Championship outfit who are unbeaten this season after five rounds of action.

He made his international debut for Wales in June against South Africa, earning his place in the squad with an impressive display in the Possibles v Probables game.

However he is now set to miss the whole of the Wales’ November campaign, and will have to prove his fitness quickly if he wants to be considered for the Six Nations.

It’s also a major blow for Bristol but they have some good news in the expected return of Nicky Robinson, who has been out through injury.
