Wales have called Gloucester fly-half James Hook into their November international squad as injury cover for Dan Biggar.
Wales have called Gloucester fly-half James Hook into their squad for their three remaining November internationals.
29-year-old Hook, who has won 76 caps, will join up with the squad at their training base on Monday ahead of next weekend’s clash against Fiji at Millennium Stadium as injury cover for Dan Biggar.
Biggar was forced off during the second half of Saturday’s 33-28 defeat to Australia with a groin strain.
“No players have been released from the squad,” read the WRU statement.
Meanwhile, Toulon full-back Leigh Halfpenny suffered what has been described as mild concussion during the Wallabies clash.
Halfpenny departed 10 minutes before half-time and he will now follow the necessary concussion protocols. It is likely, though, that he would have been rested against Fiji anyway, with Liam Williams starting in the number 15 shirt.
