England winger Christian Wade has revealed the final words of wisdom spoken by Stuart Lancaster before making his Test debut.

The 21-year old from London Wasps impressed during England's 32-3 victory in Salta, with the visitors scoring four tries and producing plenty of attacking rugby throughout.

Wade has been a sensation in the Aviva Premiership for Wasps, finishing as the joint-highest top try scorer this season along with team-mate Tom Varndell and winning the RPA's Player of the Season award.

Now having won his first Test cap, Wade has spoken about Lancaster's words of advice before the match and his delight at England's attacking style against Argentina.

“He spoke about three things. (He asked) what does it mean to get the shirt?” said Wade.

“And to think about the guys who have worn the shirt before you – so for me players like Jason Robinson, Mark Cueto and Paul Sackey and stuff – so you have to look at those things.

“He also spoke about what are you are going to do to kind of fulfil the shirt as well. I thought I had a good game.

“We've been advised to look up and to play what we see and make a decision and go with it.

“With the way we play there is the opportunity for wingers to go hunting for the ball. You get the chance to play off nine and 10, to come off my wing to look for work.

“It was a great game and great to finish with a win.”
