Harlequins winger Tim Visser is set to be sidelined for the first three matches of Scotland’s Six Nations campaign due to a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old sustained the injury in Harlequins’ 39-39 draw with Gloucester at Twickenham last weekend.
“In injury news, Tim Visser is expected to be out for between six to eight weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained during Big Game 8,” read a statement on Harlequins’ official website.
The injury means Visser will miss Scotland’s Six Nations opener against England at Murrayfield on February 6 and their clash with Wales in Cardiff one week later.
He could also miss Scotland’s clash with Italy in Rome on 26 February if he hasn’t made a full recovery.
