VIDEO: Barrett’s winning try for New Zealand

Date published: October 24 2015

Beauden Barrett’s second-half try proved to be the defining moment as New Zealand reached the World Cup final at the expense of South Africa.

Just three minutes after coming on for Nehe Milner-Skudder, Barrett was on the end of Ma’a Nonu’s pass as New Zealand took a lead they would never relinquish.

It came after Dan Carter stripped the ball from Schalk Burger in the Springbok 22, and to make matters worse, Bryan Habana was sin-binned for an intentional knock-on in the build-up.

New Zealand went on to win 20-18 and will play either Argentina or Australia in next Saturday’s final.
