Ulster hooker Rob Herring has been cited by an independent citing commissioner for allegedly stamping on an opponent.

The incident took place in their game against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday, May 16.

The hearing before an independent PRO12 Rugby Disciplinary Panel will take place in Cardiff on Wednesday, May 20.

Herring is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (b) – a player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.

If he is found guilty, Herring could miss Friday's play-off between the two sides at the same venue.
