Louis-Benoît Madaule will be leaving Bordeaux-Bègles at the end of the season to join French giants Toulouse.

Madaule, who has been with UBB since 2011, can play in both the second and back row. The 28-year-old was named captain of Bordeaux-Bègles at the start of the season.

“Louis-Benoît Madaule is a complete player and a natural leader,” Toulouse sporting director Fabien Pelous said.

“He has the ability to become an important player for our club.”

Madaule joins a list of high-profile recruits for next season by Toulouse, including Zack Holmes (La Rochelle), Antoine Dupont (Castres), Cheslin Kolbe (Stormers) and Charlie Faumuina (Blues).
