Montpellier are set to welcome back François Trinh-Duc this weekend five months after he suffered a broken leg.
The French international went down in a home game against Oyonnax in October, and since then Montpellier have really struggled, losing eight games out of nine under Fabien Galthié before he was replaced by Jake White.
Despite a win over Toulon, there has been little improvement under the South African, and last weekend Montpellier needed a last-minute penalty from Ben Lucas to escape with a draw at home to relegation battlers La Rochelle.
However Trinh-Duc seems set to make his return to action this weekend against Toulouse, after the La Rochelle game was deemed a little too soon.
"I hope François will be able to take part in the game, either as a replacement or as a starter. I hope he'll be able to bring something to the team," said White.
Currently ninth in the table, Montpellier travel to Toulouse to take on a rival for a place in the top six. With their hosts deprived of a number of internationals, it's a great opportunity for Montpellier to get back in the play-off race, but defeat would leave them with a lot of ground to make up.
Trinh-Duc had been enjoying a great season for Montpellier prior to his injury, having earned a recall to the French squad.
