Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend was left “delighted” with his charges’ performance as they eased past Bath 37-10 with a bonus-point on Saturday.
The Warriors, who are impressing in the PRO12, opened their Champions Cup account in style at Scotstoun Stadium, beating the in-form English.
And for Townsend it was a treat to watch as tries from Mark Bennett (2), Sean Maitland, Tommy Seymour and Niko Matawalu saw them prevail.
“We are delighted with the performance from the team,” he said after the impressive victory.
“The intent we played at and our defence after the eleventh minute where we didn’t concede a try made it a superb performance.
“This season it was the most complete performance I’ve seen from the team. It was a really good 80 minute performance.
“Bath got an upper hand in the scrums and it’s an area of the game we’ll have to look at and improve for next week.”
He continued by singling out players: “Seymour was outstanding for those first 40 minutes.”
“Henry Pyrgos was awarded Man of the Match and I thought he had a fantastic game.
“We then fielded Niko (Matawalu) who brought that energy when the game maybe broke up a little.
“I thought the whole squad effort was excellent today.”
