Toulouse have pulled off a major signing by securing the signature of scrum-half Antoine Dupont from Castres for next season.
Dupont, 20, has impressed for Castres this season in the Top 14 and Champoins Cup after featuring in the World Rugby U20 Championship for France earlier this year.
His senior debut came back in 2014 in the Champions Cup against Leinster before he was even 18.
“Even if Antoine is new to the French public this season, we have been following his progress for several years,” said Toulouse sporting director Fabien Pelous.
“A native of Gers, it was only right that one day he would wear the jersey of Stade Toulousain, and this anomaly will be fixed as soon as next season.
“Antoine is an explosive player, capable of breaking all defenses but also to strategically lead his team through a game efficiently and with an excellent passing quality.
“With Sébastien Bezy they will form a complementary duo to lead the Stade Toulousain at scrum-half.”
