Toulouse’s recruitment drive ahead of next season may include bringing Highlanders back-row Liam Squire to France, according to reports.

La Dépêche du Midi allege that Toulouse have expressed an interest in Squire, who has been with the Highlanders since 2016 after joining from the Chiefs.

The 26-year-old back row has six caps for the All Blacks, starting last November in both matches against Ireland.

Toulouse have already recruited extensively ahead of next season, securing the signatures of Louis-Benoît Madaule, Antoine Dupont, Zack Holmes, Charlie Faumuina, Lucas Pointud and Cheslin Kolbe.
