Toulon trio’s future in jeopardy

Rudi Wulf, David Smith and Martin Castrogiovanni may all leave Toulon when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

According to the L’Equipe the trio’s future with the French and European champions is under threat.

None of the three players are JIFF qualified – where a player under 21 has spent either three seasons at an academy in France or five seasons licenced to play in France.

Top 14 clubs cannot have more than 16 non-JIFF players in their squad, which would leave Wulf, Smith and Castrogiovanni under threat should Toulon seek to sign players from abroad after the Rugby World Cup.
