Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has threatened to sue two Leicester fans following Delon Armitage’s three-month ban.

The former England full-back was suspended for 12 weeks on Wednesday after a dispute with Leicester fans in the Round 3 Champions Cup match.

Armitage was charged by the EPCR with misconduct for foul and abusive language, along with bringing the game into disrepute.

“It is incomprehensible!” Boudjellal told La Provence.

“This is an extraordinary decision that is based only on allegations of two fans from the opposition where you can legitimately question their objectivity.

“There’s no formal proof, no official document, not even television images to attest to the validity of their testimony.

“We may even sue those two English supporters, for their false testimonies.”

Toulon are expected to appeal.
