Toulon will be without injured full-back Drew Mitchell for their Champions Cup clash with Racing 92 at Stade Yves-du-Manoir on Sunday.
The Australian picked up a groin injury in last weekend's Top 14 clash when Clermont toppled Toulon 19-18.
The French giants will be without the 32-year-old. who scored the winning try in last year's victory over Clermont, as they hope to become the first team to win four consecutive European titles.
"It will keep me out this week at least, I won't be in the quarter-final," Mitchell told EPCR.
"Hopefully it won't be any longer.
"The big games are coming fast now and you don't want to be missing any.
"We started pretty well against Clermont and got a couple of penalties to get us on the board but we missed a few opportunities throughout the match."
Mitchell will in all likelihood be replaced by Delon Armitage or Josua Tuisova.
More injuries for the defending champions involve playmaker Frédéric Michalak and South African speedster Bryan Habana.
Some good news for head coach Bernard Laporte is that Matt Giteau will hopefully be declared fit for the upcoming quarter-final clash.
