Toulon hit back in style

Toulon responded after last week's home loss to Brive by beating Toulouse 32-15 in their Top 14 clash at Stade Ernest Wallon on Sunday.

After losing two of their first three games in the competition this season, this was the perfect result for Toulon as they claimed five points.

First-half tries from Guilhem Guirado and new signing Axel Muler along with the boot of Leigh Halfpenny saw the visitors go in 18-9 ahead.

Florian Fritz and Sebastien Bezy's penalties helped keep Toulouse in touch but more Halfpenny points and an intelligent drop-goal from Francois Trinh-Duc put Toulon 27-15 in front with six minutes remaining.

With the result sewn up, Toulon went in search of the try bonus-point and it came when Charles Ollivon crossed late on, sealing a fine win.
