Waikato have suffered a significant setback after powerful prop Loni Uhila was ruled out for the rest of 2016’s season with a broken arm.
The 27-year-old, who crossed for a try against Auckland in their 35-32 victory last weekend, has been in impressive form for the Mooloo Men.
Uhila has subsequently had surgery on the injury before posting a picture on Instagram which showed the damage he had done in the match.
Hi Team! Unfortunately my 2016 season has come to an end! During the game on Sunday I managed to break my arm. I had surgery today and I can guarantee I’ll be back out there as soon as possible getting fit and training for 2017! Although my season was cut short, I’m ending on a high and couldn’t have asked for it to go any better! Thanks for all your support so far, onward and upward from here fam! #downbutnotout #cantkeepmedown #pumpedforsuperrugby2017 ???
