Leicester have been dealt a blow with news that Tongan number eight Opeti Fonua will be out for up to two months with a broken arm.
The powerful forward arrived over the off-season from London Welsh, having previously plied his trade in France in the Top 14.
He made his Tigers debut against Wasps on Sunday, but suffered the injury in the second-half of the win.
And he is now set to be out for six to eight weeks, according to Tigers boss Richard Cockerill.
"There is bad news in that Opeti Fonua broken his arm tackling and he is probably going to be six to eight weeks away from getting back on the field which is disappointing after a pretty good start for him," he told the Leicester Mercury.
