Leicester have suffered a setback after it was confirmed that number eight Opeti Fonua will miss another three months with an arm injury.

According to the Leicester Mercury, the powerful back-row is sidelined after re-breaking his arm, an injury that has kept him out since November 1.

"Opeti Fonua has re-broken the same arm," Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill revealed to the local newspaper on Wednesday.

"He broke his arm, had time off, had another X-Ray and the healing was all good.

"He did all of his gradual return to contact stuff, played a bit-part in the game with Newcastle and was sore after the game.

"He had it X-Rayed again and it was a re-fracture. He is likely to be out for the same time again, maybe a bit longer at 10-12 weeks."
