Sale Sharks have confirmed that in-form outside centre or wing Will Addison has signed a new three-year deal at the AJ Bell Stadium side.

The news will delight all Sharks supporters as Addison has started this season in blistering form, and is the top-points scorer for the Sharks this season with 27 points. Last weekend he took over the kicking duties and had a 100 percent success rate from his six attempts.

The Penrith-born flyer was fast-tracked into the starting XV in late 2011 to score two tries in a friendly clash with Oxford University.

The scorer of the last Sharks try at Edgeley Park and first at the AJ Bell Stadium, Addison has since taken his appearance tally to 85 appearances and will line up on the right wing for tomorrow evenings game at Bath.

"Delighted to sign a new deal with the club," he said. "Since arriving here, the club have helped me develop as a player and I am happy at the club and what the new owners are looking to achieve. Sale Sharks is a great place to be and I want to play my part in helping deliver success for the club and the supporters."

Steve Diamond said: "When Will agreed to sign a new deal we were delighted. With new owners Simon Orange and Ged Mason running the club, their number one goal was to make sure that the club not only develops new talent but retains them too. With Josh Beaumont, Sam James and Mike Haley pledging their futures to the club our supporters will now believe in what the Board and I are trying to do for the region."
