Making his first appearance in the Heineken Cup since joining the European champions, Habana pulled up whilst on the attack in the 37th minute.

The 30-year-old, who has 95 caps for the Boks, was helped off the Sandy Park field on Saturday.

In a further setback to the Toulon cause, news has also emerged that hooker Craig Burden is expected to be out for a substantial period of time after suffering a torn bicep in the same game.

Meanwhile, Bakkies Botha had twelve stitches on a facial injury he sustained in the Heineken Cup clash.
