Three Lions players are heading home to Johannesburg ahead of their Super Rugby clash with defending champions the Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday.

Harold Vorster (knee) and Fabian Booysen (eye lid) were injured in the match against the Chiefs in Hamilton while Lionel Mapoe heads home to be at his girlfriend’s side for the birth of their baby.

Replacement centre Jacques Nel will travel from Johannesburg on Sunday to join the Lions squad in Rotorua where they are based for the next four days.
