It's that time of week again where we put our heads on the chopping block and bring you this week's predictions.
The back-to-back Heineken Cup fixtures always adds that something extra and we cannot wait for teams to face off against each other once again.
There are plenty intriguing match-ups on show, and with those fixtures come a load of chances to win yourself an early Christmas present by betting on rugby.
Let's get started.
Ospreys v Castres: It's surprising to see the -1 handicap available for Castres at the Liberty Stadium. The French champions look a decent shout – particularly as the Ospreys have lost four of their last six games on home soil in all competitions – for sneaking a victory here as they have had a knack of doing just that over the past year in key games. While Top 14 sides are usually inconsistent on the road, the fact this Welsh side's hopes of qualification are over needs looking at. Castres should grind a win out on Friday which is why we like the handicap, a dabble on an exact point win (the visitors by 5 at 22/1), or maybe Castres by 1-5 points available with Paddy Power at 7/2.
Prediction: Castres by 5 points
Toulon v Exeter Chiefs: The Chiefs almost sprung a surprise last Saturday at Sandy Park as they impressed in a narrow 14-9 defeat to the champions. But while Toulon's away form is decidedly shaky in spite of their plethora of stars, they are a force to be reckoned with at Stade Felix Mayol. Such is their prowess, they are rated huge 1/80 favourites, with Exeter a long shot at 14/1. More attractive, however, in the handicap section comes Toulon (-21) at 10/11. If the big-spenders click early on, a handsome home win could be on the cards.
Prediction: Toulon by 18 points.
Gloucester v Edinburgh: Gloucester overcame a fragile Edinburgh side last Sunday, and they're expected to record another comfortable win at 1/12 in the return leg. Alan Solomons' men are not lacking in quality, however, and a punt on them at 6/1 could be worth a shot. In the handicap market, Gloucester (-13) is listed at 10/11, which looks a good bet. We're a tad more conservative in our prediction, though, tipping the hosts to win by less than that.
Prediction: Gloucester by 10 points.
