It is that time again to put our head on the chopping block with our weekly predictions.

It is that time of the week where we put our head on the chopping block with Planet Rugby’s weekend predictions.

We have Round 2 of European action to go with ITM Cup and Currie Cup finals this weekend as prizes are on the line in the southern hemisphere.

Some teams are already playing catch-up in the Champions Cup after losing first time out but let’s see if we can put you ahead of the game with our rugby betting options, using Paddy Power‘s odds.

Champions Cup

Munster v Saracens

What a game to start the weekend in Limerick as Munster host Saracens in what should be a titanic affair between two decent shouts for eventual glory.

Saracens are without captain Alistair Hargreaves so Jim Hamilton comes in alongside new England squad member George Kruis. Up front is a key area where this game could be decided as if Paul O’Connell, CJ Stander and company get on top, Munster should win.

We don’t feel there will be more than the 39.5 points in this arm-wrestle as both are sound defensively, with Munster unlikely to start like they did at Sale last week. There is also the likelihood of a card but at 4/11 that might be better served going into an accumulator.
