As the Top 14 enters its final round we use Paddy Power, as our betting partner, to provide you with this week’s Planet Rugby’s predictions.

With the June international Test matches kicking off next week, we’ve carefully picked out the best rugby union bets, for the Top 14, on offer.

Top 14

Racing 92 v Montpellier

After winning their first Challenge Cup title, Montpellier will certainly head into this one with confidence. Racing, however, will want to make up for their disappointing 21-9 Champions Cup final loss to Saracens when they bid to redeem themselves by going all the way in the Top 14.

Home-ground advantage for Racing gives them a littel bit of edge over Jake White’s troops, however with the odds at 7/5 for the home side to win with less than 12 points and 11/4 for Montpellier to win between 1-12 points, it certainly won’t be a waste to go with the visitors to edge this one.

Should the Challenge Cup champions be trailing at half-time and go onto win this is also a good bet with the odds of this happening at 8/1. Racing are firm favourites, but Montpol have become a side that, once they have gained momentum and confidence, won’t slip any tackles with the likes of Bismarck du Plessis and Pierre Spies making big hits. A rather risky, yet very rewarding bet, would be to go for the visitors to win by 13 points or more with the odds firmly at 10/1.

Toulon v Bordeaux-Bègles

The three-time European champions have been under performing, by their known standards, in the domestic league following their 19-16 quarter-final loss to Racing in the Champions Cup.

Toulon are always tough to beat at home and despite trailing even towards the last quarter of the match, they are known to rely on their never-say-die attitude. The home side are backed to win between 1-12 points with the odds at 9/5, and a win by 13 points or more stacked the odds are at 4/5 for Toulon.

A brave bet would be to back the visitors to pull off any margin of victory, a win between 1-12 points are tipped at 11/2 and an even rare victory with the winning margin being greater than 13 is stacked at 30/1.
